What are We Learning

Literacy

We will meet Kao the Kangaroo and Lizzy the Lizard for the letters K and L with the letter sound and animal movement. We will also talk about other words that start with these letters and write letters to Santa.

Math

The children will count kites and count ladybug spots. We will also match shapes with Santa and sort elves and ornaments with tweezers.

Physical

For fine motor, we will unlock locks with keys, build with Lincoln logs, trace ornaments, and do Christmas puzzles. For gross motor, we will do a Kangaroo Hop on the letter K and walk on lines. We will also compete in a Reindeer Bootcamp.

Science

The children will make key impressions in play dough, explore with lemon play dough, watch Lava erupt, and make shapes with gingerbread-scented play dough.

Social/Emotional

We will graph if the children have ever flown a kite and go on a Candy Cane Hunt.
